I was in disbelief with some of the information the Dr. Monroe has given us in this book. Myles munroe on dating it all comes from the bible but he explains it in his own words and he gives the information in such a way that the light bulb turns. The wheels in my head began to turn and of course "if I knew then what I know no now" it would have saved me and my ex a world of heartache. Even if you are in a relationship I strongly suggest that you read this book.
When it comes to understanding the purpose of Dating, getting engaged, and then getting married, this book teaches and leaves your ready for a long lasting relationship. God designed marriage but over the ages man has perverted its purpose. This book will return us to that original purpose. I bought this book many months ago and read it in two weeks.
It was good and useful but I wasn't smart enough to really use and follow the main points mentioned in this book, such as, "putting God first," walking the "friendship ladder," and "what to look for in a partner. Folks, to save your time, money and energy, I highly recommend you get this book and the two books below. If money is the issue, save up as much as you can just to get this book alone.
Read it and reread it along with your regular daily devotion with God, because the truth is, every marriage should be based on a strong relationship and every strong relationship should derived from strong friendship. To build each step by step well, it takes time and patience, myles munroe on dating is possible, especially with the help of God and Holy Spirit. The best part about this book is that all the necessary information is packed in only pages: Many of you can read that in one day, especially when you're used to reading college textbooks.
Also this book is a guideline to marriage. Munroe doesn't teach life after marriage, this book leads the readers to a successful marriage. It is made in the order from, preparing to date, finding the right person as well as know what to look for, then onto building friendships and lastly, engagement, myles munroe on dating. Let me warn everyone not to speed up a friendship or relationship because knowing your "significant other" takes great amount of time.
Just like you can't lose wight overnight or know God overnight, nor should you try to know your partner overnight. In my scenario, the biggest mistake I've made was going too far with a girl before knowing who she was on the inside. Anyways, I hope none of you go through my phase. I wish all of you the best of luck!
Myles Munroe was always a practical teacher of deep things as well as a deep teacher on practical things. This book reflects all of that. In Waiting and Dating you will find how to discern who to spend the rest of your life with, the importance of friendship between two people and various other things. Wonderfully written and expounding on the Biblical principles and truths God has in His word.
The late Myles Munroe a true gift from God and excellent teacher. This book is a must have for anyone desiring to do God's way. Great read and really great insight into what most people in this day and age would call "old fashioned". I am a bit of an old soul so after reading through it, something should definitely be said about the need for some good "old fashioned" guidelines and advices that, in my eyes, should help most couples succeed as they navigate through dating, engagement and marriage in this generation or the next.
Would definitely recommend, even for non-christians. I love this book. It is the expression of my thoughts on dating. This book provides the tools for deep conversation about dating and abstinence. I will refer back to this book many time a year and for many years to come as a reminder for him. This book is life changing and will expand ones mindset. This will also simplify all types of relationships. See all reviews.

After all, what does it matter if you decide to go grey gracefully or dye your hair blond or any other color for that matter? But, for many women over 60, the decision to go grey is surprisingly important. Maybe we feel that this is one aspect of our appearance that we have almost complete control over. Regardless of the reasons, our decision to dye or not dye our hair says a lot about how we view the aging process. When we were in our 40s and 50s, many of us started to dye our hair for practical reasons.
Now, as we reach our 60s, we are once again faced with a choice — to grey or not to grey. The good news is that there are signs that perceptions about grey hair are changing. More women than ever are choosing to see their grey hair as a sign of confidence and strength.
These ladies are sending a message to the world that they want to be judged on what they do with their lives, not what they do to their hair.
In the past, when I have asked the women in our community whether they are choosing to go grey, I have received strong responses. It feels like we are fairly evenly split between women who have decided to go grey and women who are still dyeing their hair like me. Please take a few minutes to answer the questions below. Do you think that grey hair can be beautiful and sexy?
Are you going grey gracefully or do you prefer to dye your hair? Why did you make this decision? I feel I look so much younger and feel younger with my hair coloured. It is an individual thing really! I love it how it is now. No m,ore worrying if I might get a reaction to the dye. Its white and in b etter condition than its bin for years. And had lots of cimpliments as well. I just got sick of colouring my hair after 20 years. My feeling is that all other colours are seen in all age groups…but grey is only seen in older people.
I stopped coloring my hair about a year ago…I have gotten compliments on my gray hair, interspersed with white…. Love my platinum and well earned BUT spend time in Asia where many cultures believe is a sign of a widow! My husbands does notcare but I get lots of looks. I am 68 and have long hair…. Is what I meant to say ….
I aiso shampoo with a purple to banish the yellows. I love caring for my hair and their color — not ready to go the that yellowdish grey if I let go. I have just started to let it go gray. By the way, when did we start spelling gray with an e and not an a? I was taught , years ago, to spell it with an a. When did it change? I see it spelled with an e all of the time now. Loving the sassy silver! My hair is white and I love it, except it is falling out on a rapid pace.
In my younger years my hair was strawberry blonde. She is happy about being silver! I am a half and halfer! Not nearly as shocking for me when I look in the mirror. The foils, for me, are the easier softer way.
And lastly, coloured hair had more body and is more manageable. I just leave it alone… a good cut once a year and never been happier. No more chemicals on my head for me! I dye my hair once a month, brown as it always has been.
I am 62 and not ready to go grey yet,if ever!! I let mine go grey last year then my 40 year old daughter decided to get married for the first time so I went back to blonde I am regretting it now and going back to grey I think I am confused lol. I get more compliments on my natural than I ever did when I colored it. The ugliest thing about grey hair is when the wearer of it: Greg hair is naturally wiry, making it look even drier.
Watch the condition of your grey hair and do not let any of that nasty yellow creep in. Just starting to grow it out now. Might have some low lights put in for the transition since I just spent a year growing out the layers.
As it gets more and more gray, I will probably go lighter. I love seeing women with gorgeous gray hair and styled attractively. I get more comments on my white hair than ever. I have never dyed my hair. Growing it out using different hair colour synthetic scrunchies which match my own as it changes.
I have up do pontails which are fab with a fringe. I love my silver streaks; I can pop a vivid purple over it and fade it back to silver six weeks later. Do I miss the fun of all over color? Sometimes more for the smoother texture. Thinking of a way to have fun with the non-silver while leaving the silver streaks as they are. Am proudly white now.. Will never colour my hair again.. Trying to go grey, but with a struggle since dying for so many years. My hairdressor is helping me with gradually lightening with highlights….
The woman in the picture looks lovely! I colored off and on until about 10 years ago and just got sick of the hassle. I am content with who I am and the way it looks and will never color it again. Have to colour and cover, started to grow it out last year but the back was dark and top different shades of grey and looked dirty so back to the colour. I love my white hair also. I will be 56 soon and adter almost 30 years of coloring it I stopped about 3 years ago.
Thank you God for giving beautiful white hair. To me, it represents a confidence and comfort in who I am today. Mine was grey at the front and brown at the back so I am afraid I agreed with the hairdresser and now the colour comes out of a tube.
I have not colored my hair in so many years, as I have grown it out 4 times to donate my hair. This from a hairdresser who was trying to convince me to color my hair.
I love my grey. I have dark hair underneath, as I have not gone totally grey yet. I think if your hair color looks natural for you, colored or other wise -more power to you. I do, however, think if you are pushing 80 with dark brown hair, that you are dyeing to maintain your youth….
Lady you are fooling no one. Your entitled to be yourself. Six months ago I decided to go silver -I think colouring my hair made me look younger but I am not so concerned with that any more.
Here to stay…bald at the moment…excited about the prospect it might grow back different though…could be fun!!! My hair was dark brown!
I am in no mans land wondering what to do.. I mostly do my hair myself! Just decided a month or so ago to let my natural grey come thru.
I missed the transition from dark brown to platinum while it was colored blond but now love my hair. Silver suits my skin tones much better than gold. Mine is going white it is white, and i colored it hated it, now it is white. Cause i can wear the color purple and not look washed out.
I have earned everyone of them, a nd I love my white hair. I put a little rinse near the roots to make it less bright. Grey is the new colour and all of us are embrassing it. It depends on what your gray hair looks like.
